Turkish club want to sign Chelsea star in January

Reports in England claim Fenerbahce are lining up a free transfer for Chelsea star Pedro next summer.

According to The Sun, citing Takvim report, the winger could be heading to Turkey at the end of the season after being targeted by Fenerbahce’s sporting director, former Liverpool and Spurs chief Damien Comolli.

Pedro, 32, is out of contract in 2020 and can talk to foreign clubs over a free transfer in January.

He has slipped down the pecking order under new boss Frank Lampard, making just three Premier League appearances this season.

And Pedro could find himself playing alongside the likes of Luiz Gustavo and Max Kruse, as well as former teammate Victor Moses – currently on loan at Fenerbahce.

Chelsea are unlikely to offer Pedro a new deal as Lampard targets new young signings, with Jadon Sancho and Wilfried Zaha linked.

And Pedro’s agent will hold talks with Comolli, with a deal to take him to Turkey in January also a possibility if Chelsea’s transfer ban is overturned.

Pedro joined Chelsea from Barcelona for £21.5million in 2015 and has gone on to score 42 times in 191 appearances.
