Manchester City got their second seconds before half-time through Bernardo Silva to hand Pep Guardiola’s side 2-0 lead.
Again it was Joao Cancelo with a wicked right footed cross, and Luke Shaw and Harry Maguire both left the bouncing ball to each other.
Bernardo Silva stole in to poke it past David De Gea, and the Spaniard would be disappointed about letting that in.
Silva’s goal was nothing less than City deserved.
De Gea had been inspired throughout, but letting that late goal in will have undone a lot of that good work. A long way back for United now.
