(Watch party video clip) Napoli fine Victor Osimhen for contracting Covid-19 after taking part in birthday party in Lagos

Napoli have reportedly handed Victor Osimhen a fine of two weeks wages for recklessness and not respecting the club’s regulations on Covid-19.

The Napoli striker tested positive for COVID upon his return to Naples and the Serie A club imposed a fine on him after taking part in a birthday party in Lagos without wearing a protective mask.

The Super Eagles forward returned Nigeria for the Christmas break and tested positive upon his return to Naples.

Controversies arouse over the striker’s birthday party on December 29. A video published on social media by DJ Michael Golden, show the 22-year-old gathered by several friends and kids, none of them wearing a protective mask.

Osimhen is also shown while dancing and holding his injured shoulder, reports Il Corriere del Mezzogiorno.

The paper reports Gennaro Gattuso didn’t take Osimhen’s behaviour well with the striker.

The striker picked up a shoulder injury during the international break in November and was reportedly ready to return to action after the break.
