Juventus fans have expressed their opposition to their club’s move for Chelsea striker Romelu Lukaku when the Old Lady’s first team played a pre-season match against their youth team on Wednesday.

The Bianconeri always have a match between the senior and youth teams, which usually is at the training ground, but this season was moved to the Allianz Juventus Stadium to bring in over 20,000 supporters.

It was also an opportunity for the fans to send a message to the club hierarchy and coach Max Allegri, especially as patron John Elkann was present in the stands.

As soon as the game started against the Juventus Next Gen side, the crowd chanted: “We do not want Lukaku”.

They continued after Dusan Vlahovic’s two goals in the first half and eventually invaded the pitch, chanting, “We don’t want Lukaku”.

Lukaku spent last season on loan at Inter and had seemed ready to make the move permanent when it all collapsed with revelations the Belgian had been in talks with their bitter Serie A rivals Juve.
