Antonio Conte not giving up on N’Golo Kante reunion despite Lampard’s decision

Inter Milan boss Antonio Conte is reportedly still keen to sign Chelsea midfield dynamo N’Golo Kante.

Frank Lampard has emphazised his resolve to hold onto the Frenchman because the World Cup winner is so important to his plans for Chelsea.

But according to latest reports, Conte is desperately trying to raise some cash to make a third offer in excess of £50million for Kante.

Inter Milan have failed with two bids for the World Cup winning midfielder.

The Nerazzurri have even offered Chelsea two players Christian Ericksen and Marcelo Brozovic.

Conte knows it will not be easy to prise the France international from his old club.

The Italians want Kante to anchor their midfield this season and have made the Frenchman their primary target.

But Lampard maintains the 29-year-old is going nowhere.

He said: “I think pretty much every club in the world would want N’Golo Kante.

“I see those reports as well – he’s an incredible player.

“I certainly don’t want to lose him, no.”
