Barcelona identify four prime targets to replace Luis Suarez

There are reports in Spain that Barcelona have drawn up a shortlist of long term replacements for Luis Suarez.

According to reports in Catalan newspaper Mundo Deportivo, the defending La Liga champions have identified four targets to replace the Uruguayan international when his contract expires in 2021.

Suarez turns 33 during the course of this season, and he is not expected to be offer an extension on his deal, meaning Ernesto Valverde will make a contingency plan.

Paris Saint-Germain forward Kylian Mbappe is reportedly the main target, despite sustained interest in the French international from Real Madrid.

Given the fact that Mbappe could cost in excess of €170M, Barcelona have also earmarked other targets, including Tottenham’s Harry Kane, Manchester United’s Marcus Rashford and Inter Milan hit man Lautaro Martinez, report Football Espana.

Kane would command a similar fee to Mbappe, and he is under contract in North London until 2024.

However, Rashford and Martinez are both viewed as more achievable targets, but do not offer the same guarantees as Kane and Mbappe – but should both be available for a fee around €100M.
