Bayer Leverkusen give Chelsea fresh condition to sign Kai Havertz

Bayer Leverkusen sporting director Rudi Voller insists Kai Havertz will only leave if “certain requirements are met” amid talk of a potential move to Chelsea.

It is believed the 21-year-old played his last game for Leverkusen in Monday’s 2-1 Europa League quarter-final defeat against Inter Milan.

But Voller has played down talk of an imminent exit for their star man, telling German publication Kicker: “No decision has been made yet.

“I’d like to repeat myself by emphasising that we’re talking about a wonderful footballer.

“There is nothing new in this regard. We have a clear and mutual agreement with him and his representatives that he can only leave if certain requirements are met.

“Otherwise he will stay.”
