Bundeliga star wants reunion with Thomas Tuchel at Chelsea

Borussia Monchengladbach ace Jonas Hofmann has hinted at a potential reunion with Thomas Tuchel at Chelsea.

The Chelsea boss is reportedly equally keen to bring the winger to Stamford Bridge in the summer and may sell Hakim Ziyech to create room for Hofmann.

Several players are said to be considering their future at Borussia Monchengladbach after confirmation that manager Marco Rose will join Borussia Dortmund in the summer.

When asked directly about Chelsea contact, Hofmann told Ruhr Nachrichten: “I think it’s clear that other clubs will notice you if you perform well. Therefore, it is possible that one or the other has already asked.

And that prospect looks real after Hofmann admitted to speaking to an interested party.

“Basically, I feel good at Borussia; I’ve always emphasised that.

“It may be that one or the other club has expressed its interest.

“Nevertheless, for me, the absolute focus is on having a successful season with Borussia and dedicating myself fully to success. I put my personal situation under it.

Hofmann, who left for Monchengladbach just eight months after Tuchel arrived in North Rhine-Westphalia, has scored seven goals and added 11 assists in all competitions from a right-wing role.
