Champions League Round of 16: Chelsea get Bayern Munich in rematch of 2012 final

Chelsea are billed to face five-time champions Bayern Munich in what appears to be a rematch of the 2012 Champions League final, which the London club won right in the Alliaz Arena.

Real Madrid are involved in the tie of the round as they have been paired with England champions Manchester City, who they last played in the semi-finals of the 2016 competition.

Napoli are drawn Barcelona in the last 16 of the Champions League, whilst Juventus get Olympique Lyonnais and Atalanta are rewarded with Valencia.

The Old Lady have played Lyon four times in the Champions League and are unbeaten against the Ligue 1 club, winning three and drawing once.

Although they have never met Barca in competitive action, they won 2-1 and lost 4-0 in preseason friendlies earlier this year.

Atletico Madrid have been handed a daunting draw as they have been pitted against competition holders Liverpool.

Valencia will also be favourites against Italian opposition – Los Che have been paired with Atalanta, who are at this stage for the first time in their history.

The first legs will be played on February 18, 19, 25 and 26, with the returns on March 10, 11, 17 and 18.

The final this year will be played at Atatürk Olympic Stadium, Istanbul.
