There are reports that Chelsea fans have been trolled after they took to social media begging the club to sign Timo Werner – by his club RB Leipzig.

The 23-year-old German striker scored twice for his side in their 3-3 draw away at Borussia Dortmund in the Bundesliga.

The former Stuttgart forward has scored an incredible 23 goals in just 24 games in all competitions this season.

This includes 18 in just 16 Bundesliga matches.

After his latest two-goal haul, Chelsea fans were quick to post on Twitter – but RB Leipzig were brilliant in their responses.

One Blues fan posted: “Hope you’re ready for our bid”, to which the club replied: “For your bid farewell to the #Champions League?”

They also posted a hilarious response to a comment that “Chelsea are amongst favourites” to sign Werner with a giant X and the word “doubt”.

And the German club went on to reaffirm that Werner is “Our player”.

The Sun has reported how Lampard has been given the funds to start a £150million spree on new players after FIFA lifted the Blues ban on signing new players.

And Wener is believed to be on a six-man shortlist to add some firepower at Stamford Bridge from January onwards.
