Reports in Italy claim that Chelsea are on the verge of losing Mario Pasalic to Atalanta who are expected to activate the €15m option to buy the midfield ace.

Football Italia report that the Serie A club believe that the player is already worth almost twice €15m.

The 25-year-old has 12 senior international caps for Croatia and was signed on loan for €2m in the summer of 2018.

He has found his form in Bergamo with seven goals and seven assists in 32 competitive games for Atalanta this season.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, not only has the club already made a decision to activate the purchase option, but they are also confident it’s a bargain.

They maintain if Pasalic was to be sold on the open market, he’d be worth in the region of €25m.
