David Alaba’s father throws chase for Bayern Munich star open as Liverpool, Chelsea, others back in the frame

Bayern Munich star David Alaba’s father has dismissed claims that the transfer of his son to Real Madrid is a done deal.

The 28-year-old is out of contract in the summer and Madrid have reportedly offered a lucrative four year deal but he is still deliberating over his final decision.

Chelsea and Manchester United are said to be among those vying after the Austrian international’s signature.

Liverpool remain in the frame to sign Bayern Munich utility player though Real Madrid are favourites.

But the defender’s father has however denied reports that his son’s move to the Bernabeu is done and dusted.

According to Bild, he said: “I cannot confirm the reports from Spain. Nothing is fixed or signed yet. There are many interested parties.”

Alaba has decided end his stay with the Bundesliga giants at the end of the season after 13 years in the German top-flight.

Alaba is doubtless one of the world’s leading centre-backs, having bagged his second Champions League last season after Bayern Munich’s dominant European run.
