Lionel Messi’s cousin wants star to leave Barcelona

Lionel Messi’s cousin has expressed his desire for the Barcelona star to leave the Catalan giants, saying “I would love to see him play for another team.”

Massimo Moratti tried to take Messi to Inter when he was President and is currently leading the calls for him to join the Nerazzurri, and Maxi Biancucchi appeared to endorse the move, even if he ‘couldn’t see’ it happening.

“The truth is that this is something very personal, no-one else knows,” he told FootballNews24 as cited by Football Italia.

“Personally, I would love to see him play for another team, as many of his fans would like, to prove to those who claim that Messi is only good for Barcelona that they are wrong. The truth is that genes like his can play well anywhere.

“Honestly, I don’t see him in Italy. Any opinion of mine will arouse suspicion but, like I said before, the decision is his alone.

“My dream, if I have to be honest, is to see him wearing the Newell’s Old Boys shirt.”
