Mason Mount’s father responds to son’s “unhappiness” over Kai Havertz Chelsea move

Mason Mount’s father has hit back at claims that his son is ‘unhappy’ with Chelsea signing Kai Havertz.

The Blues confirmed the signing of the 21-year-old German on Friday and is going to be looking to make a name for himself at Stamford Bridge.

One of the players who Havertz could be in direct competition for a place in the side is Mount, who had a superb breakthrough year for the Blues.

Mount featured in more than 50 games for Chelsea over the course of the 2019/20 campaign, his debut season for the first team.

The Blues have strengthened in the forward line, with Timo Werner, Hakim Ziyech and Havertz coming to west London.

According to a report in Germany, Mount was left ‘not happy’ with Chelsea signing an expensive player in a role he can play.

However, Mount’s father, Tony, has hit back on social media to claim that the story is not true.

Tony Mount simply replied with lots of laughing emojis on Twitter.
