Nigeria, Guinea Bissau release line-ups: Omeruo replaces Troost-Ekong as Peseiro makes changes to team

Nigeria do keep faith with the back-three, but there are still changes for the Super Eagles.

With Nigeria in a great position to advance to the knockouts, there are a handful of changes to the team that beat Ivory Coast a few days ago.

Goalscorer William Troost-Ekong, Alex Iwobi, Zaidu Sanusi and Ademola Lookman are the players to drop out. And Kenneth Omeruo, Joe Aribo, Bright Osayi-Samuel and Moses Simon have come into the side.

Troost-Ekong made a captain’s contribution in the victory against Ivory Coast as he scored the game’s only goal from the penalty spot after Osimhen had been fouled.

The former Watford centre-back has dropped to the bench for today’s game and his replacement, Omeruo, will take the armband in his 62nd appearance for his national side.

Troost-Ekong drops to the bench, Omeruo comes into the side, while Samuel also gets the nod.

Iwobi is not involved so Aribo comes into the side, and it is Simon who is preferred to Lookman out wide.
