Maddox joined Chelsea at 14 and won back-to-back FA Youth Cups as well as the UEFA Youth Cup during his time with the club.

The youngster would the second player to join the Portugese club less than three weeks.

Former Blues goalkeeper Nicolas Tie joined Vitoria last month on a permanent basis after spending three years at Stamford Bridge.
