REVEALED: Why Inter Milan target Arturo Vidal stormed out of Barcelona training before El Clasico

Antonio Conte’s transfer target Arturo Vidal reportedly stormed out of Barcelona training after being informed that he won’t start in El Clasico showdown.

The Chile international has been constantly linked with a return to Italy, and specifically to Inter, where he would be reunited with former Juventus coach Antonio Conte.

ESPN reports that Vidal stormed out of training after being told by coach Ernesto Valverde that he wouldn’t be in the starting line-up for the game against Real.

The El Clasico clash, which took place at Camp Nou, ended goalless.

despite the best efforts of several of his teammates, the midfielder could not be calmed down and did not stay on for shooting practice at training.

Barca boss Ernesto Valverde has preferred Sergio Busquets, Frenkie de Jong and Ivan Rakitic as his midfield trio in recent matches, with Brazilian Arthur Melo also missing out.

Inter and Barca reportedly held talks last week over a deal for Vidal, however it is believed the Catalans want cash for the 32-year-old, whilst the Nerazzurri want to take the player on loan with an obligation to buy next summer.

The situation might change however if Vidal forces through a move to join Conte in Milan.

Vidal and Conte worked together for three years, winning three consecutive Scudetti.
