Roman Abramovich identifies Frank Lampard’s successor, rejects interim manager for Chelsea

Roman Abramovich has reportedly identified Julian Nagelsmann as the man he wants to take Chelsea forward, should Frank Lampard be sacked.

The Independent state that the Blues hierarchy are determined to make a permanent appointment rather than going with an interim boss if they dispense with club legend Lampard.

The report adds that Thomas Tuchel is second choice to RB Leipzig boss Nagelsmann but Max Allegri is not in the frame.

That would back up reports from The Athletic yesterday which stated that Chelsea are looking for a German-speaking manager to get the best out of new signings Timo Werner and Kai Havertz.
