Former Chelsea academy star Tino Livramento wins man-of-the match award in Southampton clash against Man United

Chelsea fans were left hailing former academy star Tino Livramento as he starred for Southampton against Manchester United on Sunday.

The 18-year-old departed the club this summer as he joined Southampton, with a route to the Chelsea first-team seemingly blocked by the likes of Cesar Azpilicueta and Reece James.

Despite having never made a senior appearance for the west Londoners, Livramento has enjoyed a rapid start to life with Southampton.

He was introduced off the bench last weekend in the defeat at the hands of Everton before then being handed his first start for his new employers against Manchester United on Sunday.

Livramento was arguably the stand-out performer for Southampton throughout the game, with his rampaging runs down the right flank particularly catching the eye.

He was also handed the man-of-the-match award by broadcasters Sky Sports as Ralph Hasenhuttl’s troops secured a useful 1-1 draw against Manchester United, with Fred having put through his own net before Mason Greenwood levelled matters down on the South Coast.
