Gareth Bale’s agent blasts Zidane as Real Madrid boss confirms star’s exit from Bernabeu

Gareth Bale’s agent is not taking Zinedine Zidane’s announcement that the Welsh star will be sold this summer lightly as he has launched a stinging attack on Real Madrid boss.

Zidane told reporters following their 3-1 pre season defeat to Bayern Munich in the United States that the club are negotiating the sale of the Bale, and that was the reason for his omission from the match day squad to face the German side.

The Welsh international has been linked with a move away from the club, following Zidane’s return to the club in March, and the former World Cup winner has no provided an update on the situation.

“Gareth Bale was left out of the match day squad (to face Bayern Munich in a pre season friendly), because the club are negotiating his sale.

“Nothing is certain as yet, but if he were to go tomorrow, that would be suitable.

“This is not a personal decision against Bale, but as manager I have to make decisions.

“These decisions are made by the coach, and Gareth knows the situation.”

Bale himself has consistently stated that he wants to remain in the Spanish capital, with three years still to run on his contract at the Santiago Bernabeu, however Los Blancos appear adamant to sell him, Football Espana report.

Zidane also added that the sooner Bale leaves the club the better, with the Frenchman open to an immediate exit for the former Tottenham man.

This has caused irritation within Bale’s camp, and his representative Jonathan Barnett has not held back in his criticism of Zidane’s handling of the situation.

“Zidane is a disgrace.

“He shows no respect for a player that has done so much for Real Madrid.

“If and when Gareth does leave, it will be because it is in his best interests and nothing to do with Zidane pushing.”

This is the latest chapter in a war of words between Zidane, Barnett and Real Madrid, with Barnett also criticising Zidane’s negativity towards Bale following his return to the club in March.
