Lamine Yamal’s father breaks silence after horror stabbing

Euro 2024 ace Lamine Yamal’s dad has broken his silence after being stabbed in a horror attack.

Mounir Nasraoui was rushed to hospital in a serious condition on Wednesday after being attacked by a group of men just hours after he was reportedly involved in a heated row as he walked his dog.

He was ruthlessly stabbed at around 9pm in Mataró before being taken to Can Ruti hospital with severe injuries.

Three suspects were arrested within hours of the stabbing and have been quizzed by cops over their potential involvement since.

A fourth man was being hunted down by cops today and has finally been detained.

He is said to be recovering well with Nasraoui taking to his Instagram to share an update to his 514,000 followers.

The father of FC Barcelona prodigy has spoken publicly for the first time since being stabbed, telling El Chiringuito “I saw myself between life and death”, and that “I have to be calmer for the good of everyone”.

He is set to be transferred to a normal ward in the coming hours.

“Thank God I’m much better, they just moved me up to the ward ,” he told popular Spanish football program El Chiringuito.

“I have to be calmer for the good of everyone, mine and my family. I have no other choice,” Nasraoui confessed.

“We have to think that justice will do its job. That’s the most important thing. Everything has a solution.”

In another confession, Nasraoui said he felt that he was “between life and death”. “Of course I was afraid, like any human being,” he added.

The 38-year-old now wants to put the incident behind him and move on “as soon as possible”, thanking everyone for “your interest”.

Asked about the upcoming season for his son’s team, the previously fanatic Real Madrid fan remarked: “This year Barca will be a great team and we will do great things.”

Consoled by his teammates in training on Thursday morning according to SPORT, Lamine is expected to start for the Blaugrana in its late night 2024/2025 season opener at the Mestalla versus Valencia on Saturday evening.

A spokesman for the regional Mossos d’Esquadra police force in Catalonia revealed all four suspects of the stabbing are in custody.

Newspaper Mundo Deportivo reported that Nasraoui was unable to defend himself when he was attacked by surprise.

Other Spanish outlets have now claimed Nasraoui knew his attackers and that the clash was over a “settling of scores”, say Marca.

Their report points towards the proud footballing dad as having a past which “goes back a long way” with the three men now arrested.

Hours before the stabbing, footage appeared to show Nasraoui arguing in the street with a group of men at 3.45pm.

The row started after a group of shirtless men yelled and threw water at Nasraoui from a balcony while he was walking his dog in Mataró, reported Relevo.

Lamine Yamal makes dressing room blunder after Spain win Euro 2024

Lamine Yamal accidentally live-streamed his naked team-mates following Spain’s Euro 2024 victory over England.

The teenage sensation was celebrating in the dressing room while live-streaming, when eagle-eyed viewers spotted one of his fellow Spanish stars standing bare-bottomed.

Barcelona and Spain forward Lamine Yamal achieved an incredible feat by winning UEFA EURO 2024 and being named the Young Player of the Tournament, just one day after his 17th birthday.

It must be noted that Yamal played in all seven of Spain’s EURO 2024 matches, starting in six of them and only missing the starting lineup in the third match against Albania, ending the campaign with one goal and four assists.

His contributions were particularly notable during the knockout stages. Yamal scored a crucial goal against France and assisted in three other goals during matches against Georgia, Germany, and England.

PSG offer world-record transfer fee Barcelona wonderkid Lamine Yamal

Paris Saint-Germain are willing to offer a world-record transfer fee of €250 million to sign Barcelona winger Lamine Yamal, says Mundo Deportivo.

Yamal, 16, bagged seven goals and 10 assists in 50 games for Barcelona’s senior team last season and has taken Euro 2024 by storm for Spain as well.

PSG paid a world record €222m to bring Neymar in from Barcelona in 2017 and are reported to be ready to break it again for Yamal, while hoping to prey on the fact that the Spanish club badly need a cash injection due to their crippling financial issues.

But Barcelona are not willing to entertain the idea of letting the winger leave and the difference this time is that Yamal has a release clause that is worth €1 billion — so, even if he did want to move, he wouldn’t be able to buy himself out of his contract like Neymar did.

Barcelona teenage sensation Lamine Yamal’s high school exam results out while playing for Spain

Lamine Yamal may be contemplating a Euro 2024 Round of 16 clash with Georgia on Sunday, but this week he passed another set of tests. The 16-year-old found out his exam results this week.

Cadena Cope report that the Barcelona starlet has passed his exams this week, passing 4th ESO in Spain, which is the equivalent of getting a high school diploma in the USA or passing GCSE’s in parts of the United Kingdom.

The teenage sensation has been joked about by teammates during the tournament as while they have been killing time together in their training camp, Lamine Yamal has been doing his homework.

It’s not clear if he will go into Bachillerato, the final two years of high school education, or focus on his football career from here on out. No doubt at La Masia they will be encouraging him to continue his education right up until he becomes an adult, but it would certainly be hard to focus on homework when you know another night in front 50,000 fans is just a few days away.

Barcelona set to block PSG’s eye-watering €200 million move for teen sensation

Barcelona appear set to block any move from Paris Saint-Germain for teen sensation Lamine Yamal, despite some astronomical figures being floated by various outlets.

Marca have reported that PSG are preparing an eye-watering €200 million move after watching the 16-year-old turn in a string of excellent performances in LaLiga and the UEFA Champions League this season.

Foot Mercato, however, says that no offer has been made for the Barcelona teenager yet and that Les Parisiens want to focus on developing the likes of Bradley Barcola and Ousmane Dembélé.

Sport have also referenced Marca’s report and have suggested that PSG have asked about Yamal, but have added that the academy graduate is one of the few players within Xavi Hernandez’s Barcelona squad who is not available — whether that is for the reported €200m or any other amount.

Barca have given Yamal a contract until 2026, the maximum length allowed for a player his age by Spanish law, and already have a contract agreed for when he turns 18 that will keep him with Barca until the summer of 2030.

Yamal’s release clause is set at €1,000m, which means Barcelona are remaining calm about the situation despite the reported figures. Importantly, Yamal is understood to be keen to stay at Barcelona and succeed with the Catalan giants.
