Manchester United team list vs Liverpool “leaked”

Omari Forson is back in the Manchester United squad for Sunday’s clash with Liverpool, according to reports.

The 19-year-old has made three Premier League appearances so far this season.

However, he has been absent from the squad for each of the last three league matches.

According to the Manchester Evening News, though, Forson is now set to return to the matchday squad at Old Trafford on Sunday.

The teenager has made five senior appearances for Erik ten Hag’s side this season.

Having made his first-team debut in the FA Cup in January, he was handed his Premier League bow against Wolves the following month.

Forson went on to grab an assist during his four-minute cameo as he set up Kobbie Mainoo’s stoppage time winner.

He has since made his first start against Fulham and came off the bench in the Manchester Derby in March.

The winger has been with United since 2019 after joining the club’s academy from Tottenham aged 14.

Forson is also an England youth international and has been capped up to under-19 level.

His return to the United squad comes as Ten Hag battles another injury crisis.

The Red Devils are sweating on the fitness of Casemiro, Jonny Evans and Raphael Varane following their midweek loss to Chelsea.

Meanwhile, Victor Lindelof, Lisandro Martinez and Luke Shaw all remain absent through injury.

(Watch Video) Antony’s meltdown when asked to play left-back during win over Liverpool

Shock footage has emerged of Antony having a mini-meltdown after being asked by Erik ten Hag to play left-back during the thrilling win over Liverpool.

United’s rollercoaster 4-3 victory over their rivals in the FA Cup on Sunday was watched by Sir Alex Ferguson and two other legendary names at Old Trafford.

That dramatic late triumph secured a semi-final with Coventry as Erik ten Hag’s side remained in the hunt for silverware.

Scott McTominay got the Red Devils off to a flyer but Alexis Mac Allister and Mo Salah put the visitors ahead before the break – with both goals enraging Roy Keane.

Substitute Antony struck at the end of normal time to send the clash into extra-time, only for Harvey Elliott’s deflected effort to restore Liverpool’s lead.

Marcus Rashford then pounced late on to seemingly send it to penalties – but there would be another dramatic twist in store.

Another sub, Amad Diallo, fired home after a counter-attack in the closing seconds to win it – only for his celebrations to be cut-short after removing his shirt and getting sent-off as he picked up a second booking.

Fans were quick to praise manager Ten Hag as “meaning business” after they spotted four tactical changes he made as United chased the game – including Bruno Fernandes going to centre-half and Antony at left-back.

The Brazilian winger was moved to the unfamiliar role after Elliott’s goal as the Dutch coach went all-out to try and salvage something.

The switches occurred at the break in extra-time as midfielder Mason Mount came off the bench in place of centre-half Victor Lindelof.

REVEALED: Why Barcelona may sell Chelsea, Man United target

Barcelona are set for a turbulent summer, as they look to balance their accounts and move in the right direction for their salary limit. However the impact of that is that very few players will have their future assured for next summer.

It emerged today that Barcelona could be open to selling Ronald Araujo this summer, but it is Jules Kounde who is attracting attention from Manchester United and Chelsea, as per MD.

Both need to rebuild their defence this summer, and Kounde will be allowed to leave for a satisfactory offer.

The Blaugrana are pleased with his professionalism this season, after again being asked to play at right-back rather than centre-back due to injuries. He arrived for €50m plus €10m in variables from Sevilla, and turned down Chelsea to move to Barcelona in the process.

Kounde has barely had a chance to play in his more natural role since arriving, but with Ronald Araujo, Inigo Martinez, Pau Cubarsi and Andreas Christensen for competition, will not find it easy to assert himself in his preferred position.

That said, a new manager could mean a fresh start for Kounde, and other exits, for example Araujo, may well allow him a second wind at Barcelona.

(Watch Video) Man United chiefs spotted in Spain with Barcelona legend Deco ahead of move for stars

Manchester United chiefs John Murtough and Matt Hargreaves have been spotted in Barcelona amid speculation of a double transfer.

The secret meeting left fans convinced that both Mason Greenwood and Antony could join the La Liga champions this summer.

Footage captured by Spanish outlet Jijantes shows Murtough and his chief negotiator meeting with Barcelona sporting director Deco.

Two CAA Base agents, Frank Tramboli and Fede Massa also tagged along.

But the Manchester Evening News report that the footie bosses were only in the sunny city for what’s been described as a routine meeting.

The gathering came just four days after Catalan-based news outlet Sport broke the news that Barca were keen to acquire Greenwood.

This is despite the fact that fans booed him during his recent 4-0 defeat to Xabi’s side.

Greenwood, 22, is currently on loan at Getafe from United and is contracted to the Red Devils until 2025.

The winger has impressed while reprising his career, scoring eight goals and providing five assists in 26 appearances.

The meeting also raised eyebrows among supporters, who have latched onto the theory that Murtough could be attempting to offload flop Antony.

(Watch Video) Haaland scores! Man City 3-1 Man United

Erling Haaland has his goal, and Manchester City have their win!

Manchester United choose injury time as the point at which to play out from the back, and it goes horribly wrong.

Raphael Varane gives Sofyan Amrabat an awkward pass, and he in turn is quickly dispossessed by Rodri.

The Spaniard has the simple task of picking out an unmarked Haaland, who brings the ball under control before seamlessly steering it beyond Andre Onana and into the bottom corner.

(Watch Video) Foden scores again! Man City 2-1 Man United

Phil Foden at the double!

It’s another fine Manchester City goal, this one that is well worked from the left.

The City forward exchanges a smart one-two with Julian Alvarez, bursts away from a tiring Casemiro, and fires across Andre Onana into the bottom corner.

The boy from Stockport, he’s one of City’s own, and he may well have just won them the Manchester derby!

(Watch Video) Foden equalizes! 58’… Man City 1-1 Man United

A wonderful equaliser from Phil Foden!

For all Manchester City’s pretty passing, it has taken another sensational strike to bring the champions level in the derby.

Cutting inside and along the 18-yard line, the England forward took aim with an absolute rocket of a shot into the top left corner.

Immediately, Manchester United players turn to confront referee Andy Madley about a supposed foul on Marcus Rashford moments earlier, but the forward went down far too easily under a challenge from Kyle Walker as the visitors looked to break.

The goal stands, and it’s back to all-square.

(Watch Video) Rashford hits thundebolt! 8’… Man City 0-1 Man United

What an extraordinary hit from Marcus Rashford!

A long clearance upfield from Andre Onana catches Manchester City out with Bruno Fernandes played onside by a dozing Nathan Ake on the near side.

The Manchester United captain then does brilliantly to hold the ball up, turn, and lay it back into the path of Rashford.

What follows is sensational; the England forward takes the shot on first time from 25 yards, it flies past Ederson, and crashes into the net off the crossbar.

The strike silences the Etihad! It silences the haters! And it has United in front!

An absolute stunner – in more ways that one.

Barcelona, Bayern Munich told cost of signing Premier League club manager

Barcelona, Manchester United and Bayern Munich will have to fork out Roberto De Zerbi’s release clause this summer if they want to prise the Italian from Brighton.

De Zerbi, 44, replaced Graham Potter as Seagulls boss in September 2022.

He has gone on to excel on the South Coast, guiding his side to a sixth place finish last season.

His exceptional work has seen him attract strong interest from Barcelona, with Xavi set to leave at the end of the season.

Reports in Spain have described De Zerbi as Barca’s “chosen one” – and claim that meetings have already taken place between his agents and the Catalan club’s sporting director Deco.

De Zerbi is under contract at Brighton until June 2026 and won’t come cheap.

The Seagulls are set to demand that his £12.8million release clause be paid in full, should a club want to appoint their manager.

According to Spanish paper Sport this is proving to be a stumbling block for Barca, with the skint LaLiga champions not wanting to pay at all.

Even if Barcelona cannot get De Zerbi, the Italian also has admirers at Bayern Munich and Liverpool.

Both Bayern and the Reds, like Barcelona, are set to hire new bosses at the end of the season – with Thomas Tuchel and Jurgen Klopp leaving their respective posts.

Sir Jim Ratcliffe is understood to have considered potential replacements for Erik Ten Hag should they decide to make a change.

Roberto de Zerbi is understood to be of interest to Manchester United.
