Azpilicueta tells Spain what to do about Jorginho if they must beat Italy to qualify for Euro 2020 final

Chelsea defender Cesar Azpilicueta has said Spain must keep Jorginho ‘quiet’ if they are to progress to the final of Euro 2020.

Spain and Italy meet on Tuesday, and Azpilicueta has been speaking to Sky Italia about the danger that Jorginho possesses to the game.

The Spanish defender, on facing Jorginho, said: “We have a WhatsApp group with our Chelsea FC team-mates, but it will be nice to meet him again on the pitch. That’s why football is great, now we are going to give the best for our national teams.”

“Jorginho has proved to be a crucial player for Italy. He has important qualities, he likes to keep the ball in his feet and control the game. If we limit his involvement, we’ll have more chances to qualify for the Final.”

AC Milan lose interest in Chelsea star as Marina Granovskaia pulls fast one to retain Blues ace

AC Milan have reportedly cooled their interest in Tiemoue Bakayoko after Chelsea triggered a 12-month extension to the Frenchman’s deal.

Bakayoko’s contract was due to expire next summer but according to reports, Chelsea have activated the extension clause as a way to maintain his transfer value.

According to a report from SempreMilan, however, AC Milan have been thwarted in a bid to take Bakayoko on loan again, before signing him when his Chelsea contract expires next summer (2022).

The Pensioners have, as per the report, activated their automatic option to extend the Frenchman’s contract for a further twelve months, taking the pressure off finding a club able to cough up the asking price this summer.

AC Milan are believed to have cooled their interest in the player but have not totally given up hope of bringing him to the San Siro.

Chelsea are renowned for getting very good return on their investment when they sell players on, and it wouldn’t be surprising if the club try to push for as close to the 40 million pounds that they paid for the player four years ago.

Barcelona, Inter Milan slug it out for Chelsea star

Chelsea’s Marcos Alonso is receiving a lot of interest this summer from multiple clubs.

And now the Sunday People have said that Inter Milan and Barcelona will be going head-to-head in the transfer race for the Spaniard.

The 30-year-old could be allowed to leave Stamford Bridge this summer. But, with Chelsea set to begin preseason this week, Alonso should be among the first group of players reporting back.

He has two years left on his contract, and proved last season that as a backup wing-back, he can still get the job done.
